Queen Anne's Gate, SW1

Once famous as the base of the Home Office, Queen Anne's Gate has been a fixture in SW1 for many years and is now the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice.

As with many buildings of its era, its main drawback was environmental performance, which was understandably becoming an increasing concern for our government customers. When the Home Office moved to larger premises in 2005, we took the opportunity to begin a major refurbishment, with a view to creating a much fresher and more welcoming working environment, as well as greatly improving the environmental performance of the building.

The success of the work meant that the Ministry of Justice was happy to set up a new long-term base here. As a result, Queen Anne's Gate remains one of the outstanding investment performers in our portfolio. It's a reminder that our business is not solely about new developments and acquisitions. Managing what we have is every bit as important.
